Abu Dhabi School of Government andAbu Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA)have partnered with Microsofttoupskill the emirate’s public sector workforcethrough the launch of a‘Maharat Platform’.Thisinitiative will utilize Microsoft’s Cloud Society expertise to boost skill levels acrossdifferent knowledge domains, ensuring that Abu Dhabi government employees gain a deeper understanding of technologiesincludingData, AI/ML,DevOps, Cloud Platforms, Security and App Development.

Dr. Nama Salmeen Alameri, Dean of the Abu Dhabi School of Government, said: “The Abu Dhabi School of Government is committed to enhancing the skills and expertise of Abu Dhabi public sector employees. Our efforts are aligned with the UAE’s ongoing transformation into a knowledge-based economy and society as outlined inthe Abu Dhabi Economic 2030 vision. "The Abu Dhabi School of Government helps ensure that the emirate remains at the forefront of technological progress and is connected with the global economy, in addition to enhancing government employees’ digital skills and knowledge. We are pleased to make these goals a reality through our partnership with the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority and Microsoft, and look forward to continuing to advance digital transformation within the emirate."

Made available througha digital learning platform,the ‘Maharat Platform’ is an intuitive learning portal for all Abu Dhabi government employeesandentities. Thiscertification-focused learning portal is designed byMicrosoft and offers more than 1,000 courses, 50 webinars andnine learning paths,spanningcloud computing, technology and soft skills.

“With the public sector leading the way, Microsoft is contributing to upskilling the nationby empowering UAE Nationals to take full advantage of emerging technologiesthrough our Cloud Society engagement program, which counts 256,000 members across the Middle East and Africa,” said Sayed Hashish, General Manager of Microsoft UAE.“Through leveraging Microsoft Learn content and bringing it to market through key ecosystem partners, we are hosting over 100 virtual events and community engagements, all delivered through a uniquely tailored skills portal.”

Nine learning paths are on offer covering cloud computing, technology, and soft skills – all delivered through over 1,000 courses and more than 50 webinars.Further support offered includes kick-off seminars, skills support, FAQ sessions, exam preparations, instructor-ledtraining, andbadges and certifications.
