As part of its conscientious objective to enhance the education sector within the nation; Eshraqa, Khimji Ramdas’ Social Development Arm recently donated 198 smart TVs to seven government schools in Ibra. These schools are affiliated to the Directorate General of Education in the Wilayat of North Sharqiyah.
The first batch of many to come for the Wilayat, these smart screens will facilitate greater understanding by boosting teacher-student communication and assist the educators to provide a smarter learning experience for the pupils. Select schools have also opted for CCTVs and Sunshades, which will be implemented soon.
Commenting on this ongoing digital initiative, Nailesh Khimji, Director, Khimji Ramdas said, “Children across the country deserve quality education to embark on their journey to become the leaders of tomorrow. Our contribution is well-thought effort to provide our children with access to the best available equipment that ensures a comprehensive educational experience.”
Expressing her appreciation, Alia Saeed Salem Al Habsi, Director General of Directorate General of Education, Wilayat North Sharqiyah, said “Digital literacy is the need of the hour and the future of Oman. As an institution focused on youth development, we welcome this thoughtful contribution of SMART TVs by Eshraqa; it will not only help the teachers to engage the students positively but also to bring forward their true potential. We also urge the business communities of our country to participate in such similar activities to empower the leaders of tomorrow, today.”
Smart screens allow schools to make lessons more engaging, interactive and even more productive. These screens also augment pedagogical skills and improve student achievement outcomes.
