At a seminar for young Emirati business leaders organised in association with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry Investcorp\u2019s Co-CEO Mohammed Al-Shroogi discussed the role of alternative finance in supporting economic growth and trends in the GCC investment landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the second seminar Investcorp, a leading provider and manager of alternative investment products, has hosted with Dubai Chamber. It follows a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed between the two institutions in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the seminar, which was held at Dubai Chamber\u2019s head office, Mohammed Al-Shroogi gave an overview of the current economic environment, with a particular focus on the effects of the drop in oil price and the national transformation plans taking place in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his remarks, Mr. Al-Shroogi said, \u201cAt Investcorp, we have a positive outlook on the GCC, and we believe that its market dynamics and fundamentals will attract greater volumes of private capital, supporting the long-term sustainable growth of the region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
